The DELL LTO6 tape cartridge or Dell LTO Ultrium6 data cartridge 03W22T holds up to 2.5TB of native capacity, with up to 6.25TB of compressed data at 2.5:1 compression. The DELL LTO Ultrium 6 tape cartridge has a transfer rate of up to 160MB/sec while writing data in native capacity and up to 400MB/sec while writing data in compressed capacity. The DELL LTO 6 tapes have 2176 tracks and a tape length of 846 meters. The tape has a lifetime durability of 1,000,000 passes. A pass is each time the tape changes direction on the drive so a single backup could have over 1,000 passes depending on the data written.The DELL LTO 6 03W22T tapes are suitable for use in all LTO6 Ultrium6 drives. The Dell LTO6 tape can be read and written to in all LTO Ultrium 6 drives, can be read and written to in all LTO Ultrium 7 drives but cannot be read in LTO Ultrium 8 drives.
