Crew Manager

Sea Wave Shipping Services, a government-licensed Manning and Crew Management Agency based in the commercial hub of Agrabad, Chattogram, is seeking a highly experienced and proactive professional for the following position: Position Title : Crew Manager (Manning Agent Department) Vacancy Open For : 01 (One) Job Location : Agrabad, Chattogram (Head Office) Employment Status : Full-time (Permanent)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (MANNING OPERATIONS): ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • Crew Sourcing & Selection: Recruit and maintain a database of qualified Bangladeshi seafarers (Officers and Ratings) for various Principal Owners. • Client Liaison: Communicate directly with foreign ship owners, operators, and managers regarding crew planning and requirements. • Regulatory Compliance: Strictly verify and process crew documentation, CDC, passports, and visas in compliance with Department of Shipping (DoS), STCW, Flag State, and MLC 2006 regulations. • Crew Change Operations: Coordinate cost-effective crew changes, flight bookings, OK-to-Board letters, and local port agency services. • Contract Management: Prepare and execute Seafarers Employment Agreements (SEA) and handle crew payroll, allotments, and insurance claims.

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Port Management, or Business Administration. (Ex-seafarers or candidates with Marine Academy background will get high priority). • Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of solid experience working in a licensed Manning Agency / Shipping Line in Bangladesh. • Department of Shipping Knowledge: Must have hands-on experience dealing with the Bangladesh Department of Shipping (DoS) and crew union regulations. • Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, strong negotiation power, and proficiency in Crew Management Systems/MS Excel.
