The Receptionist is responsible for welcoming patients and their attendants, providing necessary information about hospital services, registering new patients, maintaining patient records, managing appointments and doctor schedules, receiving and directing phone calls, issuing patient serial numbers, coordinating with doctors, nurses and other departments, handling admission and discharge-related information, maintaining proper records and documents, receiving payments when required, and ensuring a clean, professional and friendly reception environment. The Receptionist must communicate politely with patients and attendants, maintain confidentiality, respond to emergencies appropriately, and perform any other duties assigned by the hospital management.
