Overview:Nikon has announced D3400, its newest entry level DSLR in the D3000 series. Nikon D3400 features a 24.2MP image sensor capable of shooting both in RAW and JPEG formats. It has a large format image has a resolution of 6000 x 4000 while the smaller format image comes with 2992 x 2000 pixels resolution. The D3400 supports DCF 2.0, EXIF 2.3 and PictBridge file system and is compatible with SD and UHS-I compliant SDHC and SDXC memory cards. It comes with an eye-level pentamirror SLR viewfinder with an approximately 0.85x magnification. Nikon D3400 comes with electronically controlled focal plane shutter with vertical-travel. The shutter speed available for users range from 1/4000 of a second to 30 seconds in steps of 1/3 exposure value. The DSLR supports ISO sensitivity from ISO 100 to 25600 in steps of 1 EV. The entry-level DSLR offers up to 11 focus points.
The Nikon D3400 is an entry level DSLR camera with an APS-C sized CMOS sensor and features Expeed 4 processor. It has a focal length multiplier of 1.5x with an approximate pixel pitch of 3.92 microns. It can continuously shoot at a maximum speed of 5fps with maximum shutter speed of 1/4000 sec. It has a Nikon F lens mount where lens can be interchangeable, for more pro camera shoots. One can shoot at a maximum resolution like a professional camera with aspect ratio of 3:2. This digital SLR camera features include saving files in the RAW format which gives wider room during post processing.
