The Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar is built around a 5.1.2-channel architecture with support for Dolby Atmos.
What that basically means is that the soundbar is attempting to create a three-dimensional surround sound experience using a combination of forward-firing, side-firing, and upward-firing drivers.
The upward-firing speakers bounce sound off the ceiling to simulate overhead Atmos effects, while the side-firing drivers help widen the soundstage far beyond the physical dimensions of the soundbar itself.
Now obviously, no soundbar fully replaces a dedicated surround sound system with actual in-ceiling speakers, but Bose does a surprisingly convincing job creating spaciousness and immersion here.
The soundbar also supports:
HDMI eARC
Bluetooth 5.3
Wi‐Fi streaming
Apple AirPlay 2
Spotify Connect
Google Cast
Amazon Alexa
