Kadaknath or Kali Masi (black-colored chicken) is a type of Indian breed of chicken. This breed originated in the Jhabua village of Madhya Pradesh and it is said that it was named after Jhabua village.

Kadaknath chicken meat contains high levels of protein, small amounts of fat and cholesterol, which makes the demand for Kadaknath chicken meat very high among people.
It plays a special role in everything from controlling blood pressure to controlling blood sugar, increasing muscle strength, and even preventing cancer. Nutritionists say that this chicken contains antioxidants and plenty of iron. This black chicken meat has much lower cholesterol levels than regular chicken. This chicken meat contains 1.94 percent fat, which is much lower than other species of chicken meat. But the protein level is several times higher.
