Spain's largest U.S. campus. Saint Louis University's St. Louis campus is the oldest university west of the Mississippi River and the second-oldest Jesuit university in the United States. The Madrid campus is in the same country where the Jesuit founder, St. Ignatius of Loyola, was born. Saint Louis University-Madrid was established as a study abroad program in the 1960s and has evolved into a recognized center of international education in Spain. Today, SLU-Madrid educates students from around the world, providing four-year U.S. undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees, and credits for study abroad students at their home institutions. Study in the U.S.: Are you interested in studying both in Madrid and in the United States? Many of our academic programs like engineering and nursing enable you to begin your degree in Spain and complete it on our St. Louis campus. Application deadlines: Fall: May 1, Spring: Sept. 1. English proficiency: Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) 63/IELTS 6.0 with a minimum 5.0 in reading and writing/PTE 50. Tuition fees: Permanent undergraduate, full-time (12 to 18 credits) Euros; Graduate, per credit 975 Euros; Tuition confirmation fee (non-refundable) 225 Euros.
