Prohibited items on Bikroy

Users shall comply with all applicable laws, the Terms of Use, and all posted Platform rules and policies.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of goods and services promotion of which is prohibited on Bikroy in Bangladesh:

1. Narcotics, steroids, psychotropic substances, and any drugs or medications that require a prescription from a licensed medical specialist, or that are not registered with the Directorate General of Drug Administration (the "DGDA")
2. Weapons, firearms, ammunition and military stores (including country-made and factory-made arms)
3. Restricted military, police, and law enforcement items
4. Human organs
5. Illegal/pirated copies of any products, software, or media
6. Stolen property
7. Code grabbing, lock picking, and SIM cloning devices
8. Electronic equipment prohibited by the law
9. Sexually-oriented services and pornographic content
10. Adult products, including sex toys, intimate devices, and erotic accessories, along with any other obscene articles the sale, import, distribution, or public display of which is restricted under the Penal Code, 1860 (Sections 292-294), the Customs Act, 2023, and the Pornography Control Act, 2012 of Bangladesh
11. Cryptocurrency (including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and any other virtual currencies), unauthorized money transactions, loans, and various gift cards or digital wallets not approved by Bangladesh Bank
12. Multi-level marketing (MLM), pyramid, and matrix programs
13. Network marketing and "Home Base Business" jobs
14. Online gambling, betting, lottery, and raffle-draw services (except those expressly permitted under applicable legislation)
15. Products (goods or services) prohibited to sell by the law, in particular:
• Food, processed food, water, soft drinks, spirit drinks, medical devices, drugs, drug products, cosmetics, chemicals, agrochemicals, pesticides, veterinary drugs, or other goods if they have not been registered with the Directorate General of Drug Administration (the "DGDA"), Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (the "BFSA"), Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (the "BSTI"), or other relevant authority of Bangladesh;
• Any goods, sale, distribution, or advertising of which is banned or restricted by the DGDA, BFSA, BSTI, or any other relevant authority of Bangladesh;
• Any goods, sale, distribution or advertising of which is prohibited by applicable legislation of Bangladesh, including the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009, the Drug (Control) Ordinance, 1982, and the Food Safety Act, 2013;
• Any goods that do not comply with standards and quality requirements imposed on such goods by applicable legislation of Bangladesh;
• Any goods that are represented on the label or described as a treatment, preventative, or cure for diseases, disorders, or abnormal physical states, unless duly registered and approved by the DGDA;
• Expired, adulterated, or substandard goods of any kind.
16. Trophies and wildlife specimens (including but not limited to ivory artifacts, pangolin parts, and any species listed under the Schedules of the Wildlife (Conservation and Security) Act, 2012) in relation to which trade is prohibited by applicable legislation.
17. Materials that offend religious sensitivities or violate public morality under applicable legislation of Bangladesh.
